Endorsements for Sue

Hands Down the Most Qualified

Sue Flageolle, our current Deputy Assessor, is hands down the most qualified candidate in the Assessor race for Jeffco. I’m so impressed with her credentials as a Certified General Appraiser since 1989, and her leadership through 28-years of service in our assessor’s office. She’s currently the county lead on a massive technology upgrade scheduled for rollout later this year. We need her stewardship and expertise more than ever. Sue has my vote.

Sue Lives Our Democratic Values

Sue has a deep knowledge of appraisal methodology and assessment practices and a strong understanding of state law compliance requirements. She has high problem-solving abilities as demonstrated when selected to lead the assessor’s complex system implementation, and most importantly knows the people who make it all happen throughout the Department, as she’s been hands on working with them for decades. She lives our Democratic values every day with integrity, transparency, and equity, and we need these values represented when it comes to anything that touches our economy.

Dedicated to the Citizens of Jefferson County

As a Realtor and lifelong Democrat, I initially ran for JeffCo Assessor because I knew I was qualified. However, a conversation with current Assessor Scot Kersgaard changed my perspective. He spoke highly of his Deputy Assessor, Sue Flageolle, noting her expertise and commitment, though she wasn’t “political.”

After a three-hour meeting with Sue, it became clear that her passion for the role and her dedication to the citizens of Jefferson County surpassed my own. Her values aligned perfectly with mine. Though she was previously Unaffiliated to maintain professional neutrality, she transitioned to the Democratic Party that night to declare her candidacy. I subsequently ended my own campaign, to support hers.

I also want to address unfounded rumors: Sue is not a supporter of the current president. While raised in a conservative household, her adult voting record includes Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. Like many, including Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren, Sue’s chosen values eventually led her to the Democratic Party.

I fully endorse Sue Flageolle. She possesses the expertise and heart to serve as our next JeffCo Assessor. I welcome her to the party and urge you to support her candidacy. I’m supporting Sue as a citizen voter.

TOP ASSESSOR FOR OUR ASSESSOR

I have known Sue Flageolle for over 7 years. I’ve worked closely with her on educating appraisers at assessor’s office across the state about multiple linear regression.
This methodology is how the assessor’s support the values for taxation. She has been the residential manager, a statistician and is now the deputy assessor at Jefferson County. Her knowledge of the valuation process and understanding of state laws that guide this process are unmatched. She has volunteered for the board of Colorado Association of Tax Appraisers who hosts an education conference annually. Her dedication to the profession, fair valuation of properties and ensuring accurate valuations are ethically responsible. I have been a Colorado Certified Residential appraiser for over 20 years and understand the need for fair and equitable valuations so taxes can also be fair and equitable under state law. She has my vote and I highly recommend all to vote for her to increase trust in the valuation process.

Vote for the Certified General Appraiser!

It is an honor and pleasure to support and recommend Sue Flageolle for Jefferson County Assessor. I have worked with Sue during my tenure as a staff commercial appraiser overseeing all offices, MillerCoors, Lockheed Martin, and Johns Manville properties.
As Deputy Assessor Sue stressed fairness, equity, and professionalism when valuing properties and dealing with property owners and their issues.
Her past appraisal experience as a Certified General Appraiser, chief modeler for mass appraisal, and deputy manager for the office makes her the most qualified candidate for the office of Jefferson County Assessor.

Very High Standards!

I have known Sue Flageolle for over 25 years as a professional real estate appraiser.
She was previously employed by Scott Stahl & Burbach, before I joined the firm as a partner in 1997. She was an excellent appraiser and performed her work with very high standards. She was a team player and was respected by all in the firm.
I would recommend her very highly for the position of Jefferson County
Assessor based upon my association with her over the years. She has a solid appraisal background which is a requirement for this type of position.
